Beach Clean at the Salt Pan, Orphir

In 2017 we did a mini beach clean at the Salt Pan on the coast between Orphir and Scapa but it was hard work dragging the rubbish up to the road. On Saturday 23rd April, as part of Bag the Bruck (cleaning up litter in Orkney), 6 trustees and volunteers filled 15 black bags with mostly plastic debris washed up on the beach at the Salt Pan. On Sunday the Orkney Sea Cadets removed the black bags so that they can be picked up in Kirkwall. The beach looks great and will be even better when the remaining bigger items are collected.

Thanks to all involved.
